Intentional Antagonizations

Why do people purposely antagonize others?

At some point I had a conversation with someone about not posting pictures of me on facebook. I made it perfectly clear that I do not appreciate being posted in pictures on their facebook; however, for some reason they continue to do it. And it's not even the fact they posted the picture, but to intentionally do it takes the situation to another level in my opinion. It's like you really want to ask the person, what are you thinking? If you asked me not to do something then I would respect you as a person and not continue to do so, or at the very least I would ask for your permission prior to doing so. But, the fact they put a disclaimer out before posting the picture further illustrates the act was intentional and further acerbates me to the point where I was contemplating retaliation. However, after calming down some I chose to just ignore the person and leave them to exist in their own sad little world.

When it rains it pours, or does it?

Sometimes we as humans tend to notice things more when they happen in succession; however, things happen the same way pretty much all the time. Case in point, using a sports analogy, when a team gets on a winning streak the public tends to take note and pay more attention. The same also happens in reverse, for example when a team goes on a losing streak. Consequently, the same happens when things tend to go wrong in life and it seems that everything keeps going wrong and we tend to overlook the one positive and dwell on the negative. So, in life we must look for the small victories and not look for streaks because they are an anomaly more than anything else. Keep pushing, keep striving and when we look at the overall picture we can truly savor the positives that life has to offer.
